UPPER DIVISION CAMPS
Broadway Bound Ages 6-13
OUAB invites boys and girls to enjoy all of the fun of the New York stage with these one-week camps. Dancing, singing, and acting are what it takes to become a Broadway bound performer! Musical Theater Campers participate in jazz technique as well as acting and vocal games daily. Performers will learn two show songs from the musical they are working on throughout the week. They will also get a sneak peak of the backstage magic with prop design and stage make-up. Friday’s show will delight guests and we bet you’ll call for an ENCORE. Certain week’s camp offerings include an art component that will allow your camper the opportunity to create beautiful paintings and other mediums. Campers will need to pack a snack, bag lunch for morning or all day camps.

MTC Casting Policy
Auditions will be held prior to the first day of camp. Students will be cast at the director’s discretion. It is important for the students to learn that MTC Summer Show performers are a team, and as a team, we will support one another in whatever roles have been assigned. We ask that parents support our directors with this message. We know there will be a time when your child comes home not having received the part they wanted, and we ask parents to focus on the positive. Due to the fact that we want to create a supportive, positive environment for our performers, there will be no tolerance for students or parents criticizing other students or their assigned roles or opportunities.
Additionally, not getting the part they want does not justify bad behavior or dropping out of the show. No refunds will be given after casting has occurred. Every single role is an opportunity for growth (in singing, acting, dancing, stage presence, theatrical experience, etc.), and with the right attitude, can be a very enjoyable and beneficial experience. All of our students are equal in importance.
